|So Where's the Rest of the Hydra?

I have never fully trusted this government. The more I learned about it, the less faith I had not only in its ability but also in the truth of its history. The work of one Howard Zinn opened my eyes further to the deceit of our subsidized educational system, and so the wall comes crashing down: Everyone starts to question, everyone starts to find out "The truth". |
And since we have found these terrible inaccuracies and fallacies in our country's history and policies, we focus our mistrust on its government and systems. In doing so, though, we lose a broader perspective in which it is clear that this is simply a manifestation of the "Tyranny" which it was supposedly formed to prevent. The USA is a TOOL for the long united forces that have sought to dominate and control our lives.
Right now we heap scorn on Georgey and his little band of pirates up there on their hill, but let us not forget that they are merely figureheads of a larger, worldwide network, and that there must be SOME reason why they are being exposed and flaunted as the puppets they are. America has become a DISTRACTION in the pursuit of the "truth" of who is really behind this plan.
Of course we can't overlook their criminal actions over the last two hundred and thirty years any more than we could, with clean conscience, let a serial killer go on murdering at their pleasure. But we will never get these people tried, much less convicted, in any kind of court until the people pulling the strings have been yanked out of the rafters, if you will excuse the rather crude metaphor.
It's a good rule of thumb to look at these situations and try to see who is happy, and especially WHY are they happy? It is easy to see some of the obvious reasons for the US invasion of Iraq, for example, when one takes this perspective: Just take a look at the figures, see who stands to make the most money, there's who's happy. I don't think anyone else is jumping for joy over the prospect of a drawn-out military occupation. It's a strain on the army, citizens of this country don't much want to be a part of anything like it, the people who love to fight are restricted because they're stuck in cities full of civilians, oh, and the people in the occupied country just LOVE all the truck bombs and armed soldiers walking around.
So take a good hard look at this situation and ask yourself, who gains if the Bush goes down? Who would stand to benefit from civil unrest/war in America? Who might want to ignite world wide war using America's military as an instigator? What kind of people would believe it in their best interest to engineer genocide after genocide for hundreds (thousands?) of years? We need to find whoever that is, because they need SERIOUS mental help!
